Damn You, Mcdonald's

Composer Josh Peck and his team from Pulse Music in New York have caused many a headache and many a laugh with their "Gimme Back" Billy Bass, Filet o'Fish commercial.

I wanted to hate it.  I really did.  But I can't help myself.  I surrender.  You win, McDonald's.

Just today, I had half the office talking and/or singing this jingle.  Half of those people were pissed off about it, saying they hate it and that it was stuck in their head, the other half were singing it right along with me.

I can't stop singing it.

Also, the guy in the video is the best thing to ever happen to a McDonald's commercial.  He's an instant classic.

"gimme back that fillet-o-fish
gimme that fish!

gimme back that fillet-o-fish!
gimme that fish!

what if it were you hangin up on this wall?

if it were you in that sandwich you wouldn't be laughin' at all!"

Haha! I really wanted to hate it as well, but while watching a St. Louis Blues game one night, it was shown 10+ times. I was highly annoyed, but that night while working out, I caught myself singing it. I was irate! But do you know what's even worse about the Filet-o-Fish than the commercial? The fact that there is such a thing as a DOUBLE FILET-O-FISH! I saw it on the menu the other day and almost spewed right in the cashier's face!

It's contagious!!

My family is totally goofy. Last night I was talking to my sister-in-law and I could hear my brother and nephew yelling in the background at what I thought was the March Madness basketball game on TV. Wrong. They were singing this stupid jingle. The crazy thing is, I go around the house doing the same thing, to the point my family yells, "Your commercial is on!" Good gawd. It's gone genetic.

You should all check it out. You'll never stop singing it. Never. Just the thought of the song will make you start singing it and then you'll be singing it for the rest of the day and all the people around you will be so angry and frustrated and won't be able to do anything but eventually join in. <br />

Trust me. This happened to me yesterday.

ive not seen it. ill be looking for it!

As I told you we have not had that commercial airing down here. No one I've talked to has seen it

It's still damn catchy!!

I'm thinking the bass on the wall might want to liberate his sandwiched friend. Maybe????

I think he's singing to the man eating the sandwich, but the guy isn't laughing at all. He's doing a little dance. No laughing there.

I'm warning you, you'll never get it out of your head.

Haven't heard that one yet. I'll have to look it up.
