World's Heaviest Butterfly

I got this off the net today:

"A man and his granddaughter were trying to get to a house when the tornado struck and he realized they weren't going to reach it.

So he and the child hit the ground and he laid on top of her and clung to the earth. The tornado was so strong it ripped the soles off of the man's boots. All the while, the girl kept trying to look up, despite her granddad's orders not to.

After the tornado passed, the man asked his grandchild why she kept looking up.

Apparently, she couldn't help it.

"The butterfly that was holding you down was so beautiful," the girl said.

Bill said he knows that "butterfly" was an angel.

"That was just one of several stories we heard of children saying that big, beautiful butterflies protected them," he said."

And Hubby recently talked to a friend who was headed to the basement when the storm was about to hit. He caught his foot in the stairs and couldn't get it out so just hunkered there in the staircase while the tornado ripped through. When it had passed, his house was in the basement but he was okay on the stairs. A foot-trapping butterfly?

Butterflies are special...and angelic ones are extra special!

Yay! Thanks for saying that right out loud.

I like butterflies.

Joplin likes butterflies, too.

There is a very nice tribute to the butterflies of the Joplin tornado. The skeleton of a giant tree was left and a new house built. The house was painted yellow. The tree was painted the same yellow and varicolored butterflies were painted on it.

I also think it's neat that one of the last quilts I made (before the tornado) has a giant butterfly. Not yellow, though.

Wow! Very nice story & thank you for sharing this with us, nelladell. It is more comfirmation of a God who watches out & sends his angels to look after us. I hope more folks read this. Thank You, again!

I very much appreciate your positive comment.

You are very welcome. I hope you have a nice weekend. Please take care.

Magical story ... yet again ... thanks for posting

Thank you for this story. About 6 years ago, my oldest son said he saw a butterfly flying around just before a head on auto collision. He survived the crash with limited injuries, the other person was not so blessed. He later learned the other driver was a elderly woman that recently lost her husband.
God works in very mysterious ways.

I very much appreciate your telling this. Thank you.

Nice story...I believe in angels.

:)

I am sure I felt my butterfly grab me just as I was about to get hit by a speeding car that appeared suddenly from around a corner when I was crossing the street.<br />
The car missed me by inches. The guy driving the car even thought he was going to hit me but my butterfly pulled me back a little bit.

I don't know how I missed this great comment. Thank you so much, Robyn, for something that's great to hear.

God send help for us in different forms, i think.

aaaaawww!!! :')
