Yes, it's very sad and childish the way they have been acting. They just seem to have become the party of NO, NO, No yet have absolutely no constructive ideas of their own.

Thanks for holding the GOP's feet to the fire on this. I'm also a Vietnam Vet, two tours 69-71 with the Seabee's. Very encouraging to follow your posts. Thanks again.

I was surprised that they would block both a fellow Republican, their chance to be represented in this administration, and a war veteran, which they always claim to respect---when a political issue can be made of it.

Excellent post....You hit the nail on the head talking about the cowards like Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the other chickenhawks who sent our brave young soldiers overseas to die in Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11..............Chuck Hagel had the courage to speak up against George W. Bush.when he invaded Iraq; .and that's why people like John McCain now say "A lot of ill will against Chuck Hagel.....He attacked President Bush mercilessly",..... even McCain admits that Hagel will be confirmed when Congress comes back from it's vacation; but you're right, "the GOP babies" will, indeed "cry about something else".....Chuck Hagel is a good man; and he deserves better treatment from people like McCain and Lindsay Graham.

Is same everywhere, reactionaries scared of losing privilege position over everybody else work on fear of small minds about strangers, immigrants, aliens, presidents from outer space. they have no rational argument for anything, rely on shouting, blustering, blocking. sorry to criticise you r country mine as bad or worse.

It may not make sense to you, or me- or any rational person, but the GOP has a strong and compelling reason to do this from time to time.

They need to feed their base red meat on a regular basis. To keep them whipped up in a frenzy and ever angry and fearful. So for the here and now, it's Hagel and the nomination process. And soon they will turn their attention elsewhere...

I agree with you....the reason the GOP is doing this...well it's the same childish reason why they have been blocking anything and everything Obama is for ever since he took office in 2009!
That's just what these whiners do. Stonewall, block, filibuster, argue nonsense, over and over and over again....they want Obama and his people to fail.....sore losers they are they just can't and won't face the fact that they are delusional either.....So someone out there ...PLEASE HURRY THEY NEED THEIR PSYCH MEDS ASAP over there at the GOP!
