wow! Nice to know there are still nice people like you.
I just can't help but wonder about what you said about..God wanting us to have faith in His angels.
I'm asking you this because everything i read that is written in the bible is about God himself. That we should trust and have faith in Him alone...
can you help me understand what you mean?:)

Good point! What I mean is that if you struggle to have faith in God, try to have a little faith in those that work for Him...for they only want to lead you to Him. To have the life He wanted you to lead. His angels are his messengers - the shiners of Light towards His path. Should have used a different word I guess. Trust maybe?

the Bibles description of hell is not here on earth,,, but I'm not debating jus sayin. What we go through in this life is being tempted to sin which we do by choice...and suffer the consequences which maybe "feel" like hell on our emotions

Well the Bible as we know it was (re)written in 1611 by the Catholic church to suit their own notion of sin and redemption. Yes, if this is the only Bible you know then there is a literal hell. I know a God who existed and fathered before this era. That's where I get my truth from. Everyone must find their own truth. :)

Well that is something I don't try to do. Convince people. We all have our own personal truth :)

sorry. perhaps convince was the wrong word. i try to keep an open mind and often ask others to expand their argument so it makes better sense to me. sharing personal truths is-to me-fodder for the mind to stretch, expand, and grow. not to necessarily reach agreement.

I have turned away from organized religion for numerous reasons. It's been several years since I have attended a service. But reading this, I felt comforted. I know my spiritual journey isn't over yet. Thank you for sharing this.

Glad to hear it. I was a Christian...then an atheist...it is all a journey after all. I'm glad God has guided me to a place of peace. A great relief.

I'm easily confused in this area and you so calm about your beliefs and it's good to hear. I have been having a crisis of faith recently

I have grown up in christian world, but something seems so off to me I can't place my hand on it.

But I do know what love is and grace is that is to be sure. I find comfort in that dearly.

Nice! While my beliefs may differ slightly, I do agree that prayer works. I don't know how, but it does work, so I continue to pray! Mt peeps have a saying, "Religious people are afraid of going to hell, while spiritual people have been there and back"! I do not want to go back to my own, personal hell!

I am glad that my angel is coming, and though I don't know if I really do believe in angels, I do believe in you, Angel ;o) !!!

I like you talk about angels. I'm not a Jehovah witness yet but I admire they learning process and the out going side. The bible highlights this. Do you know this?

"The meek shall inherit the earth." Does that mean the world will no longer have to suffer capitalism and greed?

I predict a cashless society. The capitalists will have torn down their own monetary system by then.

Well said. I have, arguably, the world's greatest belief in angels. I wear one on my collar at all times, and I collect them. God is indeed alive and well. Also.. my favorite bumper sticker of all time said: "Some people are going to be real upset when they get to heaven and find out that God is also a black, female jew."

I really like where you head is at, and not so far off the Mark either. There is old school and current understanding. Much of old school can be understood with current understanding. Make no mistake the Jesus thing did happen. However man has meddled with the teachings for so long and has cause much confusion for many.

Luck have it there are other ways to get the basics that allow you to understand the old school and see what is what. Once you learn how what is. You can never view the world the same ever again.

The amount of drama man has added is not what was intended. It was not meant to focus on but as a contrast to help us see quickly that is not what we want and then to focus on what we do want. Many do not do that and do not know how it is supposed to work.

The old school that says "Ask and It Is Given" is true to its Core. And when it says As A Man Thinketh So Is He. is another truth.

You could say, Thoughts Become Things....As A Man Thinks..

And to speak your desire into truth is Ask and it is Given as well.

And to learn about the "Angels" who DO help us they are there just in time for when they are needed. That also means they knew in advance that you were going to need that boost or help at THAT moment in time as we know it.

And our TIME is but one thing. NOW. You only have now. You live in the Now. You do not live in the future and not the past there is only Now. Everything you do is NOW. Yes everything. Time is our illusion to delay unwanted things giving us a chance to rethink our desires before they become in our Now.

There is way much more and it is very interesting to view from new eyes.

I know god is real because I have met him, when I was 7, I had major brain operations, I floated upwards, and met a man all in white, he looked into a large book, he said I wasn't ready, then it was like being in a lift without brakes, and plunged downwards, I woke up in bed with wires everywhere, later they told me that they had lost me on the table, but got me back, so I told them, a nurse said other people have said the same thing.
