If We're Honest With Ourselves

I think all women are at war with our bodies and if we're honest with ourselves there really is no need to be - we should celebrate the female form, in all shapes and sizes;  too long have we dictated our body image based on the magazines and celebrities out there - where once Marilyn Munro and Jane Russell with their fuller figures and natural breasts were celebrated, now thin, statuesque and tan seem to be the order of the day.... and yes, as a woman, I have fallen in the trap of trying to emulate the fashionable female form of the day; but I am a women with curves, who carries a bit of weight, who would not look out of place in a Ruben painting, and slowly I am coming to love my form; the Key thing for me now is to be healthy and I am so I am now trying to accept my shape and embrace who I am, a Real woman; chalk one battle win to me, but make no doubts, I have not yet won the war, but I intend to!!

Stick thin does nothing for me... give me a woman with a bit of meat on her bones any day of the week and twice on Sundays!<br />
