Pretenses

Obviously i'm not the kind of person who measures my worth by the amount of friends i have in a list somewhere. The trivialising of words has always beden a pet peeve of mine. All the friends i have in my list are people who i have talked to and would talk to again. It may not have the functionality of being able to whatch them for interesting posts, but it also means that you are actualy my friend.

If someone wants to be a friend i think they should talk first, even if its just one greeting, talking face to face (or words to words) shows much about the chracter of a person. Furthermore that they are willing to put the effort into any form of conversation shows that they are a willing friend.

So if you get mail from me its cos i wouldn't mind being your friend (wether i think you are an interesting person, will have interesting story or you just needed a huggles, sent a few of them out to people i thought needed them), and if i get mail from you (or have a similar exchange) then you everything is always so much better.

The alternative is 'oh i like your avatar, friend' 'wow you used the word vestigial, friend' 'i'm doing weed and i just gotta push all these pretty buttons, friend'... once i bumped into someone on here using their friends circle for what would best be described as prostitution and i rate them above people who dont care and just click the button...

I generally won't accept friend requests until I've gotten lots of e-mail from them.

then why haven't you sent me mail yet?

HI ! YEDMEIPA. I AM 52 YRS. YOUNG--DON'T WANT A RELATIONSHIP- JUST NEED A FRIEND TO TALK TO.

That was deep , I personally just click people just because or they have an avatar I like . Reading what they write or trying to find out what they are here for takes time . That's just too much like being friends .
