Its Not So Scary

I think I have Chlamydia as I have been having a few symptoms. I went to my doctor today who took swabs from me. It was very discreet and she was really professional and kind about it and gave me some encouragement. I also had swabs for other possible STD's. Some were a little uncomfortable but only for a second or so.

The doctor told me that if I do have any infections, its just a simple course of anti biotics that will clear them up and I was very relieved.

I have worried over this for months as I slept with a former boyfriend who in turn had slept with multiple and numerous women. He told me he had used condoms and I foolishly believed him.

I am glad I got the tests done. I am not sexually active at present so have time to clear up anything that may arise, without putting someone else at risk.

I want to feel clean and also feel I am taking care of my health in a sensible way.

It wasnt so scary and definitely nothing to be ashamed of.

If you think you may have a sexually transmitted disease, then go get yourself checked out.

The doubt is more shamful, especially if you infect someone else.

Use a condom!!!
