I Think If We Fix Parents We Would Not Have To Fix Schools

I know teachers get a lot of flack in the UK, but I think parents don't get enough. Somehow the responsibility is supposed to fall on schools to teach children basic things like how to behave -- like parents don't have any responsibility at all other than to feed, clothe and house them. I always thought education starts off in the home, in fact happens more at home than at school.

    Same here in the states...Parents beef about what teachers aren't doing when they actually need to look at and re-evaluate their own jobs!! If parents lay a good foundation then the schools can just go ahead and teach them information. Schools are NOT a replacement for parenting and a decent home environment!!

      Here the government started calling what as understood as the department for education: department for schools, children and families. (Families last, you notice, with schools first, and children in between.)
