I Think I'm Boring Because

I'm an introverted person and like to keep to myself.  While everyone else is out being social and partying and going to the bars, I don't believe in that stuff and would rather lock myself in my room and watch tv or something.

Nothing exciting ever seems to happen to me that I can share with people.

I'm just a listener and an observer.

You know what's funny? I was always an introverted person too, but then one day I decided I needed to change that and do something about it. So I went out of my comfort zone and went clubbing with a friend...and met a whole bunch of other friends but at the end of the day, I was still not satisfied. Because I would connect with those "friends" initially...and then after a while they would drop out of my life like flies. Anyways, just wanted to share an experience that would maybe let you see the alternative to staying in and chillaxing by yourself at home....it's not much better. I'd much rather have 1-4 really close friends than a boatload of distant acquaintances that might not even say hi to me when I pass by them on the street. If I may offer a piece of advice, I'd say share more of yourself to others in whatever way you feel most comfortable (or at least try to), and try something new regularly. Best of luck to you!

Hi! I've read your story. You're not alone. I think we're the same type of personality. I think I could relate with it. I am also a shy person. I don't go with night outs and socialize with other people because I am really a conservative type of person. Because of that, I have a few circle of friends. I prioritize my studies so I was left out with a few people I would call friends. But I think its time to get out of our nutshell and enjoy life even though we have only a few friends and we're kinda boring. Travel to different places and learn about people's culture, read books, watch movies, listen to music, read magazines and news papers. That way, you'll learn different types of things, you'll be up to date with the many happenings in the outside world and you will have something to talk about when you met new people along the way. Good luck!:))
