Society's View

You know what ? I think I'm hideous and I know so many people my age and older who think of themselves the same way. We think we're fat, we think we're unattractive, but why do we think this ? If you look in a magazine, what are they ? A size double zero with perfect skin. I think this is what most of us long to be, and it's starting to irritate me. Why aren't there girls with curves in those magazines ? And why is it that if you're a size FOUR are people considered plus size ? Honestly, this **** is seriously ****** up. I don't want to be judged because I'm not the stereotypical "tiny," I don't have perfect skin and I don't look like all the models. I don't want ANYONE to feel this way anymore. We're freaking gorgeous ! No matter what anyone says, even yourself. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way. Remember, Marylin Monroe was a size twelve and she was considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. I struggle with this more than some and not as bad as others, but I want everyone to listen to this and try to soak it all in because what I'm saying is true. Skinny is beautiful, curves are stunning, even plus size is the most attractive ! Why should anyone let what society's view of "beautiful" lead them to addictions like bulimia, anorexia, cutting because you think you're ugly ?! It's not right ! Put those magazine's away, and feel confident, because you're stunning in your absolute own way, size 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, etc ! All of it. And you have a face that is absolutely unlike any others'. You're unique and that's gorgeous. You're as pretty as the rest of them and I think all of us need to work on loving ourselves ! <3

You are so right :) Advertisements about skin care/beauty/weight loss products hire people who are already thin, has pretty skin, and has what society calls a pretty face! Like a commercial about instant weight loss drinks with a model that has abs then their's a sentence at the bottom that says "with proper diet and exercise" They just make you loathe yourself even more! It's all about loving yourself first :)
