Oh I'm Sure Has Been Done Before...

But today what hasn't...

Watching Iron Man again, you had to wonder if he was a nerd or if he used his inventiveness to cope with everyday teenage problems when in highschool...

How about a genius 14 year old freshman boy who uses technology to "right the wrongs" against him and other smart kids in his neighborhood... We'll won't have him fly though cause that's too corny, but perhaps he'll have like a souped up unconventional way of getting around by land or something (SegwayMan, LOL! That was just a joke... I was thinking something much better than that...)

And he'd be in love with this older 17 year old girl "Laurie" who he met in his advanced math classs (for her is a gradelevel class, but him is "advanced" for his age) who has all these psychological problems and listens to all the wrong people but he loves her anyway....

The problem is, high-school problems are often short of the "action" necessary for a superhero story, so maybe he also fights real crime. Maybe he deals with abusive parents too and maybe they're like corruption in the school system and in local govenment... Just brainstorming here...

And of course he'd have one or more artificial intelligences he created or that he got somewhere to help him... And we'd keep the technology as believable as possible for now... Like they'd only be slightly more advanced than modernday chatterbots or something... And he'd be closetly romantically susceptible to falling in love with inanimate ob<x>jects, but we'd always overshadow this with Laurie...
