The Ice Cream Party

This morning I had the honor of throwing my sons class an end of the year ice cream party. I did get a few donations but ended up having to buy a few extra things as I'd rather have too much than not enough. Although my son didn't have any, guess he wasn't in the mood, the other children seemed to gobble it up. In all we had the three flavors of ice cream, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla (and yes I purchased Bryers). Plenty of sprinkles, chocolate chips, mm's, cherries, crushed oreos, gummy bears, pretzels to fight back the sweet, whipped cream, bananas, strawberries, two types of magic shell topping, strawberry and chocolate syrup and waffle bowls. Yep there were a few little ones who went home to make their parents nuts from the sugar high. There were a few children who's eyes just lit up when I said they could have it any way they wanted, which I'm guessing they either don't get sugar treats very often or maybe they can't afford it. Those are the ones that I enjoy watching the most as it leaves them with a pretty happy memory. Took a few pictures, got a great big hug from the teacher and helped clean up. It was a success and a special thank you to the parents and grandparents that showed up to assist.
