I Think It's All My Fault
All my life, whenever something went wrong, it was my fault no matter what. Even now, when something goes wrong, it is my fault no matter if I had nothing to do with it.
Growing up, everything my brothers did wrong, I got blamed for it. I may be my brothers keeper, but I cannot control their choices. I may have a say in what they do if in their presence, but when not around I have no control. If you choose to throw your school books in the sewer, it's not my fault. You go and get a girl pregnant while still in high school, it's not my fault. You marry the wrong person, it's not my fault.
Even now, I still get blamed for everything that goes wrong in people's lives around me. Everyone always finds a way to blame me; if I wasn't talking, you wouldn't have made a typo. If I didn't walk into the room, you wouldn't have spilled your drink. If I didn't cough, you wouldn't have dropped your phone. If I didn't click my mouse, you wouldn't have lost your train of thought. If I didn't look in your direction, you wouldn't have hit the wrong button and lose all the work you just did.
With always hearing that everything is my fault all my life, why wouldn't I start believing that it's always my fault?
