I Dropped A Piece Of Candy And I Can't Reach It

He was the strongest man I knew, my world, the one that was going to walk me down the aisle, help me move into my first house. Now.... well now he can't walk, he can't get himself in and out of bed, he can't bathe himself, He can't put pills in his own mouth or even swallow, he can't reach the piece of candy he dropped. He has Parkinson's, he is my father, he still is the strongest man I know just in a different sense. He has been this way for a few years but today when he said "I dropped a piece of candy" and my mom said so? he said "I cant reach it" it just seemed so pathetic and sad it really got to me he used to do everything for me and in a matter of a few years it totally turned around. All because he dropped a piece of candy and couldn't reach it.

I'm so sorry. Just make sure you tell him how much you love him. Tell him what his love and guidence has meant to you. Spend as much time as you can with him.
I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do, but I was so lucky to have had the time to tell my Wife these things while she was still here with me. I know if I hadn't, I'd have felt even worse than i do now.

I don't know what to say. The only thing I can even fathom is I'm sorry, but that is insignificant in your situation.

Thank You :) the fact that you said it and meant it is plenty to say.
