Family Hugs... Or Not

This happened just over a year ago. I was hugging my daughter (who was 1.5 at the time) when my partner came into her bedroom to check on us. Seeing us cuddled together he steps towards us and says "aww family hug" to which our daughter pulls away from us both and babbled/ toddler talked but it sounded like "whats a hug?" it had us in stitches for hours.
