Hi From a Newbie...

It didn't surprise me at all to see that this is a pretty big group. I'm going through a bit of a tough time right now but it is getting easier by the day. As my pain eases my laugher increases. My dad loved to laugh and he has left our family a fantastic legacy. We have all been remembering him by sharing all the funny stories from over the years. The laughter in our family will last forever and will help us all deal with whatever life throws at us in the future.

Its a great emotion.

First laugh at yourself ..... and all day a smile will be on your face .. : O)

You are so right about the laughter think they have even done scientific stuff to prove laughter helps cancer patients cope better.
Depression and physical pain have been my probs for a long time.......and my local video store is my pharmacy.....

I have worked my way through the comedy section.....and also found some of Goldie Hawn on Laugh-IN back in 1960's on youtube....

I also like to watch some true docos or dramas like Tears of the Sun......to appreciate that I have NOTHING to complain about.......I'd rather my own trials than some given to others.
It doesn't hurt to every once in a while take stock and actually write a list of at least 50 things you are grateful for........stops a lot of self-indulgent whinging !
