Which Way To Go?

Every day we make hundreds of choices. What time to get up.  How fast to drive.  What to eat.  These choices become who we are and also change our future path.  I would not have met some very good friends if 4 years ago I got on a old bike from just after college and went for a ride.  That ride led to a new passion, and some might say a new obsession in my life.  We also pick and choice who who we like and who we don't.  It's not that I we want to hurt someone I had been kinda seeing, but someone else had caught my fancy.  I am usually not the break up'er, but have done it a few times, most memorable was leaving my EX.  As the saying goes, "sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do".  I have gotten better and beating myself up and playing Monday morning quarterback, but I think we all play a little bit of "woulda, shoulda, coulda" .  I have started  riding my bike at night on limestone trails by me, it's dark, really dark and I have a good light, but every turn could be something new and this has given me some new insight in life.  We really can't see very far into the future so the choices we make right now, or at this turn effect the rest of our lives or ride.  Life is constantly in motion, so don't look beyond your light on a dark path.

I have a tendency to look back sometimes. I'm at piece with my choices. They led me to my experiences and a lot of them were awesome! The ones that were not taught me something ( at the risk of sounding like a cliche ).

I have to remind myself to keep looking forward even if it is hard to feel at ease with what's around the corner. I'm not afraid of what might come, I'm afraid nothing might.
Stagnation scares me.
