I Struggle

I am an optimistic person for the most part. It's my first instinct to see the good in things. I am usually upbeat and outgoing, albeit a little shy at first.
I have my moments, like anyone. Some things never fail to hurt or irritate me. I avoid them as best I can. Easier said than done, but I try.
That's the point. I try, always. I try to be happy, to reflect only the good. It's easy to be sad, to dwell in the decadence of pain.
I'm a fighter; I prefer the hard road, make my own path.

I wonder if it is more accepting to be sad, depressed, than it is to be upbeat and happy?

"Our Deepest Fear is not that we're inadequete; but that we're powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us."

Marianne Williamson. The quote is actually longer and if you YouTube, Coach Carter Deepest Fear, there is a part that will really strike deeply within you.

I'm opposite of you then... or maybe in the same boat. I'm confused right now whether the Light that I can give off is too much for some people. That I get ostracized by them because I can be too giving. Know what I mean?
