Sharing My Good Mood

Sooo ... It's been quite a week for me, and that's probably putting it somewhat mildly. There have been some phenomenal highs and some really painful lows. In fact it's been a bit like a roller coaster, and I must tell you: I'm really not a fan of roller coasters. Seriously, can someone explain to me the appeal of flipping upside down, going a million miles an hour and thinking your going to die the whole time?! I digress ... where was I?

Oh yes, my week. This week has turned out to be about changes, mostly in the arena of friendships. In that regard here on EP I've made some new and delightful friends, lost one that was very special to me and have been missing absent ones. I've cried a lot, laughed even more and through it all managed to stay sane (relatively speaking, I mean this is me were talking about) and keep my smile.

I recently read something a dear friend wrote about changes, and friendships. I'm going to quote him, because he said it better than i ever could, and hopefully he doesn't sue me for copyright infringement. *nictates*

"We come into each other's lives for moments. Sometimes those moments are fleeting, sometimes they last. And, occasionally - rarely even, quality friendships are formed. But each step of the journey was important. Each moment of our past led us to where we are today. To regret the past is folly. We are who we are because of every step, every moment, every person who has touched our lives - however briefly."

This week ... this week has proved the accuracy of those words for me. It has reminded me to simply enjoy each and everyone of my friends, my relationships, for as long as I can. Also, should there ever come a day where they come to an end, then I will look back on them with fondness and not sadness.

Okay, great, but what the heck does this have to do with the song lyrics I'm about to share? Quite a bit actually. As the week draws to a close I find that I'm in a really GREAT place. The sun is shining, the weather is warm and I'm REALLY happy. I have a good life. Despite it's lows and my occasional struggles, I'm really quite blessed, especially in the friendship arena. So I just wanted to take a moment to share with you a song that addresses this and makes me smile.

I adore all of you, so very much. Thank you for everything you do for me and for making me feel seen and noticed.
