I have a platonic friendship with a mature man. I have for 14 years now and we are extemely happy that we have one another. He's given me something even my girlfriends couldn't give me. Insight into how some men think as I have given him my opinions into how some women think. We can talk about anything and I am fortunate that we have many common interests and I think that has been the glue that has held this friendship together along with trust. We also have had many intimate moments together without it having to be sexually related. There's something really valuable to know what that feels like. I feel truly fortunate for this friendship.

    We all need that type of friend. So difficult to find. It is obvious that the trust is mutual to have lasted so long.

      I feel fortunate and that he's a very supportive friend especially lately......and he would never think of taking advantage of the situation. Trust I'm realizing is difficult to do...people aren't always honest and usually thinking about their own interests.....honesty is in short supply sadly to the few that truly value it like us.

      Sadly a breaking news has forever broken this relationship...It seems he's had a love flame burning within him and has hidden it until now and can no longer bear it and because I don't feel the same we have broken this friendship and all is lost........I will be sad about this one for years to come............apparently for me I cannot have a long platonic friendship.....so sad....
