You know, I used to think there may have actually been something to the idea of men being inherently different from women. Nowadays, I see that people are inherently different from each other. There are a lot of men who are always on the lookout for the next conquest, but there are a lot of women like that too. There are a lot of men who are afraid to change things. There are a lot of men are afraid of commitment. The world is a paradox. And we are all paradoxes in ourselves. I, for instance, long for a relationship that's emotionally intense and stable--two things that are almost contradictory. I also desire to devote myself to one person, but since I don't know who that person is, I get attracted to almost every pretty woman who walks by. We're all made up of many different sides and angles. We are polygons. There is the emotional, the physical, the spiritual, the ambitious, the stable, the needy. I've learned not to judge and never to blame.

yes, men are very hard to understand but that might be because you do not know how it feels to be under the effects of testosterone. I could seldom understand women and felt they were irrational until i started taking estrogen - now women make lots of sense. i no longer feel they are irrational when i can understand their starting point/frame of reference!

men are hard to understand because we are really quite simple. we think of 4 things... vocation, avocation, food, sex.... this list is dynamic in that the priority of each is in a constant state of flux
and we tend to focus on whichever is highest on the list at any given point in time..
