It's Really Getting Me Down

I just think that people genuinely don't like me and I can't work out why. I feel as though I have nothing in common with most people and find it hard to talk to them about "normal" stuff. I have done alot in my life, travelled and experienced alot so I should be able to find heaps of things to talk to people about but I feel as though they are bored and I am annoying them as I am too "bubbly". This problem is affecting my work life and I have just lost a good job as a team leader because the staff didn't like and respect me.

Can anyone help? I'm scared to get another job now as I'm so paranoid that people won't like me again arrggghhhh

The fact that your "bubbly" will cause others to dislike you, because they think you're happier than they are. It's just jealousy on their part. As far as your team leader job... not many people like their managers because people don't like being told what to do. So don't take that personally.

I understand where you're coming from. I feel that way at times too but I think I'm just really boring compared to everyone else because I haven't really done anything in my life.
The only advice I can give you is to try and think about too much. If you do, it'll just keep eating at you until you're nothing but a paranoid wreck. And chances are, not everyone doesn't like you.
I figure that there are always going to be people that don't like you, no matter the reason. There has to be someone that hates you or finds you annoying. Unfortunately for me, it's one of my managers at my job. But I don't let it get to me. Then again, I'm not a sensitive person when it comes to things like that. You either like me or you don't.
Try not to be afraid of looking for another job. If it ends up like the last one, then you just haven't found your place yet. Just don't give up. You'll find a job where you'll really connect with the people that work there. Even if it end up being only one to two of them. Just keep plugging away and be yourself. That's all anyone should expect from you.
Good luck and hopefully this will help a little.
