Resting In The Heat Of Siege

There is so much pain in the world. I can hear the whispers of their anguish even in my little bed. There is no rest; there is only waiting. Waiting to do all the things I have to do tomorrow and the day after and all the months and years after that. At night the Mother sings her songs and I listen. The moon shines down on me and I almost feel at peace; but future is screaming, howling. "There is so much work to do!" "Look at all the failures you had today. How many more of your attempts will be failures tomorrow?" This voice rails at me.

Hush. Stop. Breathe. The Moon is my mother and she holds me close to her heart. Rest will give me strength. I must let go from time to time. I must breathe. Always, I must breathe.

Sending you strength, my friend. I hope you find peace in all that chaos. My thoughts are with you.

And mine with you. Chaos comes and chaos goes. Peace is the pleasure in between. :)
