So Is Christianity and Judaism

The last line of InfantryScout's story in this group really cracked me up, and I'd comment there but I've been blocked... aw :(

I guess his God is better than Allah and the Bible is better than the Qur'an... I guess "radical" means actually following the text and not ignoring the nasty parts, which is what modern peace loving worshipers do.

I think all of it is nonsense. At the moment radical Islam is more dangerous than the others, but I find it funny to write a story condemning one religion and end it with praise to your own invisible being.

A lot of people can't hear the "radical" in radical Islam. A man is known by the things he does. Everyday a radical kills either his own people, or people that don't believe the he does...or she. There is a chronological list of atrociteis commited by radicals. Just the last year wouldn't fit in this story space. All the verses and rhetoric that's been written doesn't impress me. People are known by their actions period. Watch some videos of London or France during the rioting. It's easy enough just google "Muslim Riots" read whats written on the signs. Listen to the enlightened ones calling for death and holocaust. You say the Qur'an contains the wisdom of ages.
This is just one of many along these lines.

Ishaq:324 "He said, 'Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.'"

ROFL! Yes well silence goes a long long way! - Dear Author..
Awww if nothing else this would have been interesting :/

Ok, it's an immense pleasure for me to tell you a number of factual information mentioned in the Coran proving and testifying of its devine origin...

to your knowledge, the Coran was revealed in the early decades of the 7th century..and the Prophet was illiterate" i-e., he could neither read nor write. the Coran was tod to him little by little by God through his Angel Gabriel..

God is our creator, he knows us so well that he knows some people will doubt the books he revealed and his messengers. For this reason, he consolidated his last revelation " The Coran" with startling scientific facts which trouble even modern scientists..

Such knowledge was not available before the turn of the present century, and most of it has just started to be understood through the painstaking analysis of massive amounts of scientific observations.

The Qur’anic precedence with such precise and comprehensive knowledge points to only one of the multifarious miraculous nature of this Glorious Book, being the last Divine message, and the only one that has been kept intact with exactly the same language of revelation word to word and letter to letter for more than 14 centuries.

Here are some of the facts therin included, the list is far from exhaustive:
A group of verses which refer to the shape of the earth (XIII:3; XV: 19; IXXVI:28; XXXIX:5; L:7; LV:17; LXV: 12; LXVII:3; LXX:40, 41);

its motions (XXI:33; XXXVI:40; XXVII:88; XIII:3 XCI:1-4; XCII:1,2; X:67; LX1XVIII:lO, 11; XXVII:71-73; 111:27; XXIX:61; XXXT:29; XIXXIV:13; LVII:6; XXXVI:37 II: 164; III: 190; X:6; XXIII:80; X1LV:5; XIV:33;)

and its origin (XXI: 30) where both the earth and the heavens are clearly described to have constituted (in their distant past) one entity (the initial singularity) before they split apart (or the so-called Big Bang).

This group also includes verses that emphasize the vastly distant positions of stars (LVI:75, 76),

the expanding nature of the universe (LI:47),

the smoky nature of the early sky (universe) (XLI: 11, 12),

the existence of the interstellar matter (V:l7, 18; X:65; XV:85; XX:6; XX 16; XXV:59; IXIXIVI:24; XXX:8; XXXII:4; XXXVII:5; XXXVIII: 10, 27, 66; XLIII:85; XLIV:7, 38; XLVI:3; L:38; LXXVIII:37)

and the concentric nature of both the heavens and the earth (the universe) {(LXVII:3)}; (LXXI:15) and (LXV:12)}. *

One verse stating that iron was sent down to us, thus emphasizing the celestial (extra-terrestrial) origin of iron in our planet (at least) (LVII: 25).

One verse that describes the deeply (faulted) nature of the earth (LXXXVI: 12).

A group of verses that describe some of the most recently discovered oceanographic phenomena such as:

a) The superheated nature of the bottoms of certain seas and oceans (implying intensive submarine volcanic activity associated with sea floor spreading) (LII:6).

b) The complete separation of different bodies of water (fresh and saline, as well as saline waters of different compositions) that do not mix completely or immediately due to the constant pres ence of impassable barriers in between (XXV:53; L V:19,20).

c) The multitude of darkness produced in the greatest depths of oceans by deep currents, topped by surface currents, topped by clouds (XXIV:40).

One verse that describes mountains as pegs or pickets (LXXVIII:7), emphasizing their relatively small, above-ground elevations, compared to their much more deeply buried parts (roots), and their role in the fixation of continental masses as well as of the whole planet. This role is emphasized in ten other verses which also ascribe more functions to mountains such as their part in the process of precipitation of rain and in the formation of natural heads for running streams (XIII:3); XV: 19; XVI: 15, X.

A group of verses that reflect on the earth’s hydrosphere and atmosphere, which are both clearly stated to have been outgassed from within the earth(LXXIX: 30, 31), a fact that is only very recently discovered. Other verses in this group comment on the protective nature of the atmosphere for life on earth (XX LXXXVI: 11), the absolute darkness of the outer space (XV: 14, 15), the reduction of atmospheric pressure with elevation (VI: 125) and the glowing nature of the early nights of our planet before the formation of its protective atmospheric spheres (XVII: 12).

8- A group of verses that emphasize the thinness of the earth’s crust (LXXI: 19), the constant levelling and degradation of the earth’s surface and the gradual change in the geographic dimensions of continental masses, and even the contraction of the whole planet and the deformation of its surface (XIII: 41; XXII:44; LXXVIII: 6).

9- Verses emphasizing the fact that groundwater is generated from rain, thus reflecting on the hydro geological cycle (XV: 22; XXII: 18), and others relating life on earth to water (XXI: 30; XXIV: 45) or reflecting on the possibility of classifying lifeforms(VI:38).

10- Verses emphasizing the fact that the process of creation took place in successive stages over tremendously long spans of time (XLI: 9-12; XXII: 47; XXXII: 5, etc).

11- Two verses that describe the end of our planet and of the whole universe by reversing the process of its creation [ so-called Big Crunch (XXI: 104)], after which the eternal universe will be created (XIV: 48).

there are many websites that deal with this subject, I've taken these information from http://www.55a.net/en/miracles/a047.php

Now, i think you're surprised to see this, myself I was surprised and all those who discover it..

N-b there are other facts not mentioned here and which are bewildering..for instance, the coran is codified, yes protected by a code, so no one can add a letter or omit a letter without causing disbalance in it..

I am fully ready to give further explanations on any point you choose..

lol

No, I won't contact you for more information. You could kindly back up your outrageous post here, though. For instance, please show how the Qur'an explains all (or any) of those amazing scientific facts you claim.

This should be pretty entertaining. Everyone please be prepared to witness the massive amount of wiggling and 'interpretation' necessary to think that the Qur'an explains scientific facts like relativity and fetal development.

i advise you to look at all the scientific facts that are mentioned in the holly Coran..they are so impressive and amazing

then and only then many of you would come to the fact that the Coran comes from almighty God and not a man made book..

one more thing, I challenge you all to give me any scientific facts mentioned in other "sacred book "...ok

these are unechaustive of what is mentioned in the Coran:

the earth is round
the protective ozon la<x>yer ( not named Ozon!!)
how a fotus develops in a woman's womb ( all the stages)
that the sun is moving to a dicted distination
the role of mountains
Relativity ( yes, it is there)
and dozens of startling other facts... also people discover new fafts hidden in the Coran each day

in addition to the peace of heart and spirit one enjoys when reading it and thinking about all the meanings and paraboles given...

Fore more clarifications, please contact me..It'll be a pleasure to inform you more

LOL I was getting ready to post the same story on this group.

All that Radical Islam is doing is the same thing that Christians did to the Turks during the Crusades.

Uh oh...I think I smell Tulick 2.0

oh, so I guess you must know everything about all religions since you're able to make such a statement then.... lol. Very impressive accomplishment at such a young age...

i think Islam is the best religion in the world, it explan everything. and you guys are loser.

hmm...

people are often idiots. as a race we do dumb things. hating and violence are a part of who we are.

human traits that offend and cause pain find ways to be expressed in a group setting in religions ... in all religions. bigotry and hate are found the world over..

except those onion head types who filter water lol.... god i hate them.

If you don't listen to the "Skeptics' Guide to the Universe" Podcast, you really should.

I criticize any system of thinking which makes a virtue out of faith as opposed to things like evidence and reason, and things that can be demonstrated and falsified. That is why I don't only oppose religion but I oppose all pseudo-science such as astrology, faith healers, alien abductions, etc.

I believe the universe is wondrous, but it is not magic.
