It's Not That I Hate Kids...

It's usually the parent's fault for not disciplining them! I work in a restaurant and I see it every day. I don't know about the rest of you, but if I had tried to behave the way a lot of kids do these days (screaming, running around, bothering other customers, etc) my parents would have taken me straight home and I would have been punished.

These days, parents don't even pay attention to what their kids are doing half the time for some reason. I've seen kids playing tag in the dining room, and a few times they've nearly knocked a server over who was carrying a heavy tray. What really gets me is that if the kids get hurt because they're fooling around, the parents can hold the restaurant accountable and sue-even though they're really the ones at fault for ignoring their kids. It gets under my skin.

Thankfully, not all parents are like that, but there seems to have been a shift these days and more and more parents are just letting their kids do whatever they want.
