I Wonder...

I often wonder if I've made a difference in someone's life just by being kind. Today me and my fiance were taking a walk, and we walked by another lady who was out walking, and I smiled and said hi to her. She said hi back. A ways down the street, by fiance told me that she was the child pervert's (ex?) wife who lives down the street from us. He told me that she didn't support what he did, though. I've heard their house gets vandalized alot. I spose people aren't too kind to her. I don't mind being nice, though. I don't regret saying hi to her. If there was just more love in the world it would all be so different.

I know what you mean. Everyday I have made it a habit to just smile, say "hello", be courteous - thank you, please, and just plain nice. I have been told I am too nice, but I figure we all have burdens to bear, so be kind so you do not add to someone's. I think you did the right thing. She could be really lonely because of her circumstances. She might even have some guilt because she couldn't doing any thing to correct the situation she found herself in. You make me bless the world and people like you, who go out of there way to shine the sun on gloom.
