When I was dating, I never needed a line. But after 26 years of marriage, I had to develope one. It goes like this. "Oh, please, honey. Oh honey, please ..... honey ? ..... honey? ..... honey? Where are you going, honey?

In my youth... many years ago... I worked bars and nightclubs.

I had one "gentleman" customer who came in every Thursday night. He was a very good tipper... tipped me a twenty with his first order and got the best service I could provide the rest of the night. So I was always hovering nearby and overheard his technique many times.

    Anyway....

He always used the same approach. He'd spot a nubile young woman and ask if he could join her. If a "yes" happened he'd sit down introduce himself ask her name and say: "Sally are you going to **** me tonight? Because if you're not interested I won't offer you a drink and I won't bother you while you look over the available men."

If he got a no he'd thank her for her time and move on.

If he got another yes (usually accompanied with a giggle or big laugh) he'd buy the next round, dance with her and get to know her a bit. Never in a big rush to leave, once the question was asked and answered he was very personable and respectful and the ladies always seemed to be having a good time.

I worked that club for two years... he went home with a woman EVERY Thursday night.

Many times, (in my dating days, a thousand years ago,) I would go an a first date with a lady, and she would use a line like, "Let's get this out of the way so we can relax and have a nice evening. Are you going to take me to bed or not?" Or she would just ask point blank if I wanted to ****. In all cases, we finished the drink, (usually the first,) and left. It seems like virtually every lady I met was that way. I was shooting pool with some friends, once, and the female manager of the bar was watching. I said, "What do you want?". She said, "You.". Women are, in my experience, very very aggressive themselves. I didn't make this up. And I was kind of a shy guy. I don't think I ever in my life asked a lady to come home with me. I didn't have a chance to. Explain that. I would be very interested. Believe me, I have NEVER considered myself God's guift to women.

I have always been too shy to use lines on the ladies, but my gabble of bull **** seemed to work well. I guess they just liked the way I wiggled my ears. lol

Can't blame a guy for trying and maybe the "coffee" line actually worked sometimes because it was so funny and so pitiful it could be kind of disarming.
