I Think That You Have An Accent
I will fully admit that i have an accent. It may not be the extremely thick but it is noticeable.
I have gotten into many arguments with people who claim to not have an accent at all.
I have to say i think that is one of the most arrogant things to say. Not to pick on anyone in particular but it seems people in California seem to be quite guilty of this line of thinking. I only think that from friends, family, and acquaintances that will argue their point till they are blue in the face.
In my opinion, everyone has an accent of some type. Whether it be from another country, state, or whatever. By saying that you lack one is saying that everything revolves around you. You are perfect and everyone else has defaced your language. You are the only true speaker......come on!
