The Little Things

I really do think that the little things matter in life. Whether I am thinking about someone I love or used to love, times spent with family or friends, or places I have been blessed to visit, I always find it's the little things that may not sound very special to other people that I remember most clearly. To me it's little things like laughing so hard you cry, long all-night phone calls with friends, someone's arms around you, sweet words whispered in your ear, a first kiss with someone special, a walk in the rain, that little Eskimo kiss from my niece, or just knowing that you will be there when I need you-these are the things that make my life worth living. Grand epic moments are great, but those don't come along very often. I find happiness in the little things; those are the things that put a smile on my face at the end of the day and many years in the future.

Well said. Also I noticed that the "epic" moments are often social events and they'll be filmed and photographed. But when it comes to the little things all you got to remember them is your memory. They are YOUR moments.

I agree with you whole-heartedly, fungirl. So many of us go through life disappointed because we're so focused on the big things that we miss the little ones. If we can hold still long enough to recognize all of the simple, little things that make life enjoyable, we really are all the happier for it-
Keep that gratefulness alive!

Kissing in the rains

Someone told me the other day that I smile too much. I told her to kiss my "smiley face" and she told mom on me. LOL it was my sister. My mom's reply was "stop smiling at your sister. she wants to be a grumpy ***." I had to laugh.

Lol. A smile is natural beauty :)
I shake my head at gals covered in makeup but wearingcross faces like a pinched bum.

Yes, when all is said and done .. it is the 'little' things that are the big things.
I love smiley people. They give me so much without even knowing.
