God Does Not Cure Depression

Give yourself up to God. Put your faith in God. Pray about it. Talk to a pastor. It all makes me want to throw up. Religious faith is fine and dandy for some people, but it is not the be all end all to depression. To shove it down a depressive's throat is not going to cure them. Telling them "God will smite you because you've considered Suicide" is cruel. Don't we feel we have enough people pissed off at us, we really need to worry about some mythical being coming down on us too?

"Give it up to God" that's all well and good, IF HE WAS A REAL PERSON! You cannot find the answer to a problem by giving it to someone who does not exist. How are you going to find your strength to go on or answer a question when there will be no answer? Its like saying, "Give it up to Santa Claus". He's not going to answer the question, BECAUSE HE DOESN'T EXIST!

I've never believed in god. Actually, I don't think I've even been a believer anything, that's why I find comfort in nothing.

Maybe you must start believing in yourself? Ah.. what a absurd answer! I know! I just thought to tell you!

I like your boldness. You talk as if, you have trusted God in the past and feeling kind of abandoned by Him.<br />
Sory if I have started a grim topic.
