I'm Going To Get Some Flak For This, But. . .

I admire the values of the Tea Party and I am female without sexual perversions. My husband and many friends and relatives are also among the Tea Party enthusiasts. We are all good hearted, rational people who value a good work ethic, as an example. Those who oppose the Tea Party might want to consider not attacking us and appreciating that we are intelligent and educated people upholding our country's freedoms as our founding fathers envisioned. Please honor our feelings with respect, even if you choose to oppose our ideas.

So Dave, you might want to share that perspective with some of the tea partiers that come to this group, are incredibly insulting, and absolutely won't engage in a real discussion. It is a good idea to come into a group and read a few stories before making judgements.

If there is hypocrisy on a manageable scale, point out what it is and why you feel so, MAYBE there will be progression from that, maybe. Like I learned a few days ago, it's bigoted most times to call something or someone a bigot, so why bother just to say so, does it get anywhere past that? Or do you just feel better as a pot walking up to a kettle, screaming "BLLLLACKKK!" then running back to your cupboard? Is that really enough for you?

I didn't know that there was any particular correlation between "outlier sexuality" and "conservative politics". I have met friends here on EP of all political and sexual persuasions... and have not noticed any particularly strong correlation amongst my friends. If anything, I would have suspected it went the other way... "outlier sexuality" was more prevalent among those aligned with "liberal politics". Maybe we should do a study. EP would be a great place to do it but the sample size should be large and we would need to figure out how to account for folks like me that have two profiles... this one that's wild... and another profile that it MUCH more reserved.

It's an interesting subject, for sure, Eve. And I know you are not making a judgement, just an observation. AN OBSERVATION!!
