That is not a good sign.
Look at ways to actively relax. Mindfulness meditation will help you quiet your mind. Apparently measurable results can be detected after about 3 weeks of doing it 20 mins a day.

If you are a thinker, like me, you may take pride in that you think too much. But when it occurs at night it may be a sign of stress, anxiety or depression.
