F^*@ The System

The punk revolution of the 70's, in my opinion, was one of the most important social and musical revolutions the world (on a whole) has seen. The ideals it helped create (once again, in my opinion) were some of the most important social ideas to come out of music.
The rejection of the political 'ideals' that made the rich get richer while the poor got poorer, control the population, along with the anti-establishment mentality and the refusual to accept the mainstream because it's mainstream, are still as (if not more) relevant, especially in today's culture.
With the awful state that the world is in today, the punk rock ethics, the ideals and the way it was done, are needed more than ever. The 'system' is flawed. And until something radical is done to change it, we will never get out of this hole we have allowed ourselves to be dug into.
F^*@ the system, fight the power, and more importantly, let there be punk rock! damn right, turn it up and topple the barricades!

I get queasy at the current state of the music and culture industry.Punk helps fire up my hope that we can learn a better way of life which embraces freedom and encourages cooperative resistance to the sick insane empire.Learning from the mistakes of the past and confronting the real challenges we face as human beings have always been at the core of DIY punk for me. 1-2-3-4!!!

Thanks for your comment dubkebab, I agree 100%. The state of today's society is horrid, and unless something is done then it will continue in it's downward spiral. Action needs to be taken, and the punk revolution had the right idea about achieving change.
