The Only Girl

For the past 3 jobs I was the only girl in the office. I love this situation as I'm usually the center of attention, I'm supported with what I do and I'm helped when I make a mistake or don't know what to do. I'm actually not sure if it is because of me being the only girl or that the offices are very close knit.

In jobs where I had other ladies there were snide remarks, name calling (both on their part) and feelings of uneasiness on my part. I don't feel any competition or pettiness without other ladies there. *shrugs* maybe it is just me!?

I've found that working with women it's not how hard you work that counts, its whether your face fits. And if it does you can get away with murder!

I don't really care to work with a lot of women either. They seem to take everything so personally- then it gets all catty and mean. I just want to do my job, i don't have time for all the drama.

In a way it kind of is, you are the other woman in an office where there are more than one woman. And women are fiercly competitive ;)

I think that that depends on the kind of people we work with.

Woman to have a tendency to be catty on the same par that man are macho.
