I Thought Somebody Would Love Me.

If I could express the deepest regret of my life it would be that I have never found true love. I always felt that I would be just right for just the right person and I never found her. Sure, I was married once but that did not really work out. I've met a lot of ladies that interested me but it wasn't mutual. Now I'm happy to be on my own as it is much better than being with the wrong person, but there is still that empty space, not to mention that I really love children and never had the opportunity to have any of my own. I closed the door when I turned 50. Still it would have been nice....

It is never too late to attain the ob<x>ject of your desire. For it is an error to assume that it is set in stone. Even the stone can be sculpted.

I agree with Einstein (he's really smart, you should listen to him).
Love will find you, and you've probably missed an opportunity or two in your 50 years. But that's the past and reall all that matters is the present, which you seem quite happy with.
I don't believe in 'Soul Mate' kind of love anymore; the end of a 17 yr marriage tells that story. Truth be told, I've been In Love about 100 times in my life, literally. It's amazing how we all define love and experience it on so many levels.

What worked for me, instead of labeling or defining 'TRUE LOVE', which has too many expectations and constraints... I started expereincing PEOPLE and Love in the AGAPE sense. It sounds like you are on a much higher plane and peaceful with it all.
That Beautiful Person will come into your life when you least expect it..

As far as kids go... well, that's not all it's cracked up to be... There a MORE THAN ENOUGH young people without a MALE FIGURE in their life and jumping straight into GrandFather-hood is so much better that starting from scratch......

Love - Spread it around and it will find it's way back to you.. But leave behind the expectations of what you envision.

(or tell me to shut the hell up, that I have no clue.

you wouldn't be the first LOL)
Luck...
