True, they are not taught about it, which is slightly disturbing since it's very apparent that it makes a large difference...

Unfortunately my oncologists downright refused to acknowledge that an alternative treatment could cure me, and called Social Services (at the time I was 16). We ended up (my parents and I) having to go to court to fight for my rights not to have chemo. We were threatened several times with being forced to take it. This is another reason why I believe that combining treatments would be a VERY good thing in today's day and age... where modern medicine meets modern natural cures head-on.

I feel it's a coming thing. Actually our physicians are not taught nutrition classes in med school - at least they haven't been in the past. I think the pendulum is swinging that direction - at least I hope so.

I agree that the combo is a great idea. I wish more oncologists would think this way and incorporate it as the standard treatment.

Fighting with both methods is an excellent idea that I have thought about many of times. Since the cancer wasn't too serious, I had some time to try what I needed.

It's well known that chemo brings the immune system (the number one defense for any type of illness) to a stand still, so combining a healthy immune diet and even some other alternative treatments would be beneficial in striking a balance in your body.

I think going both ways and attacking with everything you've got is a great way to go also. I'm not sure I'd know what to do - just cross fingers and be happy that so far, so good. We just never know. Congrats, to both of you! Hugs, Mox

I am happy that the alternative treatment worked for you. I considered it when I was diagnosed with cancer. I decided to go with the traditonal medical approuch of .chemo and radiation. Congradulations on 4 years cancer-free. Best wishes, CMR

Good for you! More people need to hear about the alternatives for healing cancer. I'm happy for you!
