My Visit To Ireland

I recently visited Ireland for a week. After flying into Dublin, I visited Glendalough, Kilkenny, Rock of Cashel, Killarney National Park, Dingle, and the Cliffs of Moher. I visited several gorgeous and historic locations and stayed with two lovely families along the way. One recommendation to those of you who are planning to visit Ireland and rent a car : Invest a few additional dollars in a GPS device. It will simplify directions, reduce navigation headaches and help prevent you from getting lost. It would also be a good idea to get the Super CDW coverage for peace of mind as the roads are quite narrow. With a little preparation (and perhaps even without), you will have a wonderful time. Chat with the locals, have a pint of Guiness in a pub and enjoy some traditional Irish music. Admire the misty green fields. Be prepared for rain and chilly weather no matter the time of year. I lucked out weather wise for most of my trip, particularly when I was in Dingle. The forecast called for rain but it only came down at night. The days were mostly clear and sunny. Could it be the luck of the Irish shining on me?
