Wouldn't Have Guessed This...

1. Mahayana Buddhism (100%)

2. Neo-Pagans (98%)

3. Unitarian Universalists (92%)

I love some aspects of Buddhism, but it's a very sexist religion, so I was shocked by my ranking. I strongly believe in a woman's right to choose and the right to choose your partner. I hate that Buddhism is so judgemental on these issues. I think it's contradicotory to the rest of the Buddhist belief system.

Eeeep! Good thing I don't currently have any kids to take away...

Neo-Pagan and UU were in my top three along with Liberal Quakers! I'm thinking the quiz needs to ask where you live because in "The South" where I live, most people regard all 3 as some kinda hokus pokus. They will threaten to take your kids away. No kidding!

Well, I did some researh, and found that different Buddhist groups have different views on this. Zen Buddhists (particularly those from the West and from Japan), are generally considered to be more "socially liberal."

I recently read that the Dali Lama has become a bit more tolerant on the issue of abortion, as well.
