My Wheelchair Is My Freedom!

My wheelchair is my freedom! I didn't want one at first, for years I wouldn't accept it as an option. I thought it would somehow make me more disabled. (I can walk short distances, but can't stay upright very long without loosing consciousness.) That's not the case though. I was wrong. With my wheelchair, I've been able to do all kinds of things that I've never been able to do before. My wheelchair is my freedom to go food shopping for myself, or to the mall with friends.

Thank you for sharing your story. I myself have been using a wheelchair for a number of years. Its been so long since I was able to walk without one. I don' event know what it feels like to stand on 2 feet anymore. I was feeling bad for myself for a while. I refuse to leave the house or join my friends in fun activities because I hate being seen in it and I don't want to bother or burden anyone when I go out. I needed this inspiration. God bless.

Your an awesome young woman, you've gave me the inspiration i needed! there's always someone out there who's worse off then yourself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! blessings to you my friend!

Thank you for your comment! For me it isn't a prison at all, because it gives me the freedom to do things that I wouldn't otherwise be able to. So, it would be hard not to love that! :)<br />
