Contemplative Silence

I have spent the majority of my life alone and in silence with a few exceptions so I find myself being a very contemplative person. I value the strength and medicinal powers of silence, especially the comfortable silence that doesn't bug you with its awkwardness or with the need to disturb it. For those who can carry a conversation with some silent spots I find it refreshing for it allows me to have time to think over what has been said,  to remember everything mentioned previously and to just have some nice quality time together.

It is the silence that two people can have  between each other with their hearts and spirits seeking each other as they watch a bird in flight, a beautiful sunset or the sandpipers skittering across the beach forever on the run from the waves. It is the silence that allows hearts to weave together through loving palms as you hold hands and study the starry night sky. It is where you can start smiling and laughing without any jokes being said nor a need to force conversation.

And it is definately the sweet suspenseful moment of that first kiss, awaited for and worried over. The silence leading up full of expectation before they bend over to comb their lips with yours.....
