I Finally Volunteered...

i volunteered in chicago for the race for th cure...breast cancer...for my cousin who's 30 and has had the fight with breast cancer.  I told her i did it in her honor and she acted as if she could care less.  what am i to think when u do something in someones honor and they dont care.  i mean i don't want anyone to go thru that set back and pain, but if someone is so ungreatful what am i to think.  am i insane...do u think i just misunderstood her.  she went thru chemo, lost her hair, everything, and lost part of her breast...but she didnt even say thanks or get emotional as if it never happened??? what gives?

Her pain could hardly be outweighed by any volunteering activity. Give her the right not to say thank you, that's the best gesture of support.
