I Walked Away...

I walked away from a marriage. From a man who agreed to adopt 3 children from foster care with me. From a man who decided he was too selfish to want to be a father anymore. From a man who began hitting the kids, from a man who then started ignoring me and the kids. I walked away from a man who gave me the choice of giving the kids back to foster care or leaving him. I walked away. I left Germany, where we were stationed, and came back to Illinois with all that I could humanly carry, the 3 kids, and the dog. I started over here in Illinois a few months ago and am trying to build a new life, a better life.

Wow! Good for you girl. Sometimes you have to put your foot down and do what you know is best no matter now hard it is to do.

You are so admirable. It's reassuring to know people who have the courage to do the right thing. I am glad you are my ep friend!

How are you doing now? You are and incrediablly strong lady. Wow. With that kind of strength you will be fine. You are exactly the mom these children need.
I have adopted 1 child from foster care, and still foster others. Those kids will grow up to be strong just like you.
GOd bless you as you continue down this difficult path.

You are a living testement to the strength that we all have inside of ourselves just waiting to be realized.
Thank you for reminding those of us that are in hurtful relationships, that we can leave and be happy.

I am so proud of you. I wish I could walk away. my husband is the root of all my depression. I hate it everyday when he comes home. He really intimidates me all the time. I am looking for a job and then, I hope I can walk away.

You go, Girl! Of course this is going to work out for you! Not working out is not an option, and you have already proven that you have the tenacity to see this through. Are you staying afloat financially? You are in my prayers. Keep doing your part, and I promise that God will do the rest.

It's takes quite a bit for anyone to make a step like this. To leave for the unknown unsure of whats to come for them. This will definitely change your perspective on yourself and the people you become involved with. Good luck you are a beautiful women and deserve what ever good things come to you.

You have guts girl to do what you have done. I am very impressed. Bravo! Bravo! I wish I had the guts to walk away.

I hope the new life works out for you

Wow...I feel like I've been through some traumatic things but mine don't even compare to that. You must be very strong. Kudos to you for breaking away (a lot of women hang on for a long time to negative relationships).
