Two that spring to mind ......

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - The Power of Love

Really liked this when it came out in the 80's and it has remained a favourite Christmas song to this day.
(The video I wanted to post had been disabled ;(

And of course - The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale of New York

Hi Lena
Yeah. Power of Love released in November 1984 (followed two huge hits in UK - "Relax" and "Two Tribes" and scored an early December number (Band Aid topped charts that year)

The video I couldn't post showed the nativity scene that was marketed with the song that year. (Having just googled, it was Godley and Creme that directed the nativity themed video for this single). Found it a few times on Youtube but each time was unable to post which is shame.
Anyway lovely song.
(and Pogues/Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale of New York - always been a big favourite here in UK)

interesting songs :-) I never knew power of love was a holiday song :-)
