Friends..........

I've never had a best friend
never had many friends actually because I'm weird
I was pretty much a loner in elementary school and middle school
high school I found some friends but never a best friend and the person I thought I was closest to ended up ignoring me the last year of school, never found out why

now I am in college, I met some good people that I really liked to hang out with who seem to care about me (I always doubt whether anyone really likes me) they helped me and were nice to me but it made me sad when they mentioned their best friends because I never had one so I would always shut up when that topic came up

then I met this dude who is really nice and we started talking all the time and hanging out together whenever we had time, and then out of nowhere, after a year of being friends, he called me his bf
he sent me a text saying I was his best friend
which scared and shocked me because that has never happened before
I don't know if he's joking.... I hope he's not because when he called me his best friend I was soooooo happy I laughed lol
I love him as a friend and I really hope he can be my best friend
don't want to get my hopes up though
might as well enjoy what I have so far....
