    I went to the cemetary to see the ceremony that is usually there on this day.

    In past years there was a man in uniform reading the names of servicemen and women who had died during the past year,and then Taps would be played.

    There never would be more than ten or twelve people there to honor the departed. {small town}

    Today....there was nobody there...the man who played Taps has given it up.

    I am glad of all the photos and videos I took of the ceremony over the years.

    * SIGH *

    Thank you Blue for saying what should be said every day by every one of us.

    Thank you to those who have served your country. Thank you to those who have supported these men and women.

    It's an honorable life, but oftentimes these people are so young. They're lives have been changed forever. Oftentimes they live with demons we will never understand. It's a difficult price to pay for freedom. Soldiers of all countries experience the same.

    I hope that those of us who don't live that life, truly understand the gift we've been given by these young men and women....along with their families too.

    Peace and love to you all.

    My grandfather fought for us and I shall be visiting him today at his gravesite to give my thanks in person. The stories he'd tell and the pictures he treasured left me in awe. I would like to thank everyone who has given their time, efforts and some, sadly their lives, to give me mine.

    We own these men and women a lot.

    We take our freedom for granted to often.
