Haha well first of all seems like he's pretty well woo'd, but I understand that since you broke his heart he can't just take you back with no effort on your part and still maintain his self-respect.

You need to DO things that show you care. Basically, words won't do the trick on their own. I think flying across the ocean for him shows a huge amount of devotion and effort, but the little things count, too. Actual, physical things that he can keep and look at over and over mean a lot because they will remind him you do care--he sees them right there so he can't forget.

Cute hand-made cards, letters, things that SHOW you're taking the time and putting in effort to make him feel cared for. A "care package" of his favorite things showing you pay attention to those things and put time and effort into bringing a smile to his face.

I personally am not a great cook, but if you know how to cook his favorite foods or can pick up some of his favorite treats / drinks that makes him feel cared for, too.

And always be sure not to imply it's "this for that." Mail the notes to his house, drop things off with no intention of staying or getting invited in. Maybe even just do it on the way to somewhere so you can't give in to temptation to stay.

And if he insists you stop in, don't overstay it. Be careful not to seem like you're doing nice things just to manipulate him into letting you right back into his life then and there.

Anyways these are just things I've found really put a smile on the face of the guy I'm trying to get back and help reassure him that I'm devoted and really do care so much.

I hope this works out. If nothing else-it's a truly funny story.
