Well, yes.... that's what I said.

You see, even terrorists in the Middle East have heard about the US lack of gun control.  They have heard of our gun "shows" which are nothing more than traveling caravans of death.  Show up, buy a Glock and all the ammo you want... don't worry about anything silly like background checks or anything... just buy your semi-automatic and enough bullets to perforate your average high school football stadium and drive away.

American-born al-Qaeda spokesmen Adam Yahiye Gadahn has spoken about this:  here is a direct quote:

"America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms. You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?"

That's right folks.  Fight gun control -- help Al Qaeda re-arm.

Why don't you address the killing of 300,000 unborn babies, drunk drivers kill more people than firearms and you should have paid attention in school during history class about what happens to unarmed citizens of a nation.

    This is the stupidest argument I ever heard about ownership of guns. So, I dont get it are you trying to say that Al Qaeda "knows about loose US arms control" that now what?... Are they going to fear armed US sitizens because they cannot terrorize them quite well and have to hit targets where people are NOT armed either in or out of US? Are you trying to say that "due to loose arms control in US" now Al Qaeda should just fly in, buy a bunch of guns and perform a terrorist act? As former military man who personally dealt with Al Qaeda and alike individuals let me aducate you quite a bit. First of all favorite weapon of all terrorist is not a gun. It is explosives, instilled terror, and propaganda. Number two I do not know what guns shows you went to in the past, you cannot buy a hand gun without 5 day weapons permit AND background check or in fact fully automatic weapon unless you have enough money to buy a brand new car. Why? Because assault weapons and machine gun bans do not allow you to have a fully automatic weapons since their enactment. Only fully automatic weapons allowed are the ones sold before those two went in effect. 3) Fully automatic mode is totally useless feature, unless you can design an automatic firearm with almost no recoil and kick. In combat most of soldiers never even switch their weapon from semi to auto unless laying down suppresive fire. Suppresive fire is not meant to be accurate at all, but rather to keep those fools on receiving end not to peak their heads out while you squad members move in closer for the kill. As former US Army soldier I have NEVER EVER fired my rifle in combat at full auto. Even as machine gunner for up armored humvee, I still fired in BURSTS not in Rambo style of bullet spray. 4) Guns are also tools for self defense, protection, sport, bringing food on the table if you are old fashioned like me, and protection of property. In fact by both national statistics and censures over 90% of all firearms are used by normal, non criminal sitizens in self defense rather than in crime. 5) Majority of violent crime is not even commited with a gun, but rather with other easily obtainable weapons or at the ones at the moment. 6) NRA had already discussed plenty of logical reasons to have a firearm. From inalienable 2nd Amendment that made this country free (apparently people like you forgetting that, unless you enjoy invader be they foreign or domestic come to your house, mutilate your family and friends and walk away scot free), to hunting game, to just for (within safe paramenters where no alcohol or drugs involved and everyone knows how dangerous guns are) fun to shoot paper targets on some local range is positive activity. 7) Ultimately crime rates at places where gun control is strict have THE HIGHEST rates of crime across US. From Chicago, Washington D.C, California state itself, to Hawaii and New York, violent crimes are a lot higher at times even in present day Arizona, Vermont or Alaska (three states with the most lax firearms rights).



    Live by the sword? Let me fix that for you. Those who turn their swords into plows, will plow for those who plow lives of others with their swords. I lived by the sword and yet I am still alive and breathing today just fine.

      sorry, but a automatic assault rifle isn't needed for that.

      most guns are designed to kill other humans.

      But you may be right with your arguments against gun control.

      I know it is hard in the U.S. to protect your own property
      if the police shows up in 6 hours. That's true.

      But you can't control every gun
      ever made anywhere
      who the future owner it is

      That's a fact, too.

      This is a problem
      which social welfare could help a bit.

      Also education.

      But it won't solve, I think.

      Because some people are just greedy
      and it was always easier to take from other
      than to work on your own.

    The NRA has yet to say anything. Gotta wonder about people so in love with instruments of death, disfigurement and dismemberment that they won't even discuss logical controls put on the ownership.

    Al Qaeda has shown it doesn't need hand gun and automatic weapon to blow sheet up....just a few sturdy planes. How is it Timothy Mcveigh, infamous for detonating a truck bomb did all his damage?
