control, success and money. I love my life don't get me wrong... I just want to show myself and my son that as long as one puts one's mind to something ANYTHING can be done.

I was like that in fundraising though I did well in collections... I always got money even though it might not be the full amount that they owed.

I also love working in new companies as there is so much to do and such a variety of "jobs" being that nothing is set in stone with duties.

OK you are only good at writing! Good luck in finding something in that field.

you don't get it writing is the ONLY thing i'm good at

i've applied for all kinds of jobs

had a telefundraising job for 3 weeks quit to avoiid being fired because i SUUUUUUUCKED at it and could not make them any money

Just because you decided years before that your degree is what you want to do doesn't mean that that is true. I am a people person who enjoys talking to people. I'm wonderful at selling myself and my personality. I never thought that I would like sales much less door to door sales.

I am a writer who is aspiring to be published and needed quick money... this need got me into door to door sales. Because I was open to a job I found one that I enjoy.

well you have a job and you love it so more power to you

I do think university or college is the place to network. Get one's self in a position to figure out one's self as a person and one's goals and wants.

I have a bachelors and a masters and my current job is a door to door sales person... I love this job and it has NOTHING to do with either degrees. With this job I am networking and figuring out where I want to go next.

well take it from someone who bought the lines the world fed them about educaton being the key

you can do anything you put your mind to **** abvout hard work

i have DONE it all i have no career no job bumming it with relatives waiting for public housing

why because my body won't let me work minmum wage crap jobs and every professional whose job it was to help me lied to me

i still apply for jobs(see my story in i don't tolerate bullshit to see how that went) i still send inquries and i still wait to see if anything comes of any of it i worked hard in school and i have NOTHING to show for it

what your son will need is luck more than anything

A few years ago I asked my ex to put in the divorce paperwork to include college expenses. He said... At that time Monster will be over 18 so he should be a man and ask me for the money!... I decided that day that my boy will NEVER have to ask his dad for money and the money that he makes will be protected from his dad. *shakes head*

Also I want him to learn that there are more jobs than the 9-5 that his father keeps promoting. My ex hates his job but he gets paid well.... and doesn't pay his son much. *frustrated*

keep dreaaming and don't work so hard at least not on that the world will teach him soon enough thats not true
