I Want My Life to Mean Something to Others
What we mean to others is relative to their wants, needs and experiences.
So what we are asking for, is to mean more than just what is needed. When we reach out to those in need or provide a service or lend a hand. It can be pebble in the pond....It connects us in ways we don't always see. But we ourselves are not remembered, cherished and maybe simply wanted.
Wanted to share a smile, a laugh, a handshake, a kiss, a joke.. some simple form of contact from someone we connect with on levels from aquaintance to love.
It does include grandiose things such as relief work, hospice, missionary and support of the homeless man in the street.
What seems to mean something to me... is true gratitude and appreciation. Rememberance. Missing someone when they are gone and wishing for their return. Lying awake thinking of what your accomplishments mean to another person and how you can improve on that tomorrow. How you might inspire someone to better than you have accomplished.
My story is............ that I am available when needed if at all possible. However people rarely remember my exsistance till they need my assistance.
