They would love you. And you would prefer that type of love over needy love. You want people to love you for your personality and what you are about not what you can give them

But that is my personality. I mean, I'm generous by nature. I like to give help. I wonder though if I said no more often if they still would.

I certainly have given beyond my means. It was more of a query. I don't mind giving at all, I enjoy it. I was just wondering how they would feel if I didn't.

Cant make everybody happy, believe me i've tried.... i used to try and make everybody happy and then when i NEEDED them.. really needed my freinds for support, most of the evaporated like water...
I'm a little more militant these days.... "this is who i am, like me or go away"
I'm sure there's another way, a happy medium where you can be generous and friendly without giving way so much there is nothing left for yourself...
at least i hope so.
